Due to maintenance and repairs, the Construction and Demolition (C&D) Facility is currently closed. We apologize for the disruption in C&D recycling services.
All construction & demolition materials will still be accepted at the landfill as mixed trash during normal operating hours of 6:30am - 3:15pm.
The landfill and Clean Sweep are open for normal business.
We are proud to offer local sorting and recycling for construction and demolition (C&D) materials right here in Dane County! Our C&D Recycling Facility is a 28,650 sq. ft. building located adjacent to Clean Sweep at the Dane County Landfill site.
Loads of C&D are weighed in and out at the scale house similar to materials heading to the landfill. If you have questions about site navigation or weighing in and out, scale house staff are available to assist you upon arrival.
To keep the sorting process running smoothly, we ask that all loads consist of at least 50% recyclable materials which are:
- Clean Wood (no paint, no stain, no pressure treated)
- Metal
- Cardboard
- Aggregate (bricks, concrete, rocks, stone)
Sorted asphalt shingles can be recycled at another location on our site
Asbestos is only accepted at the Landfill on the first Wednesday of every month from 7:00am to 1:00pm
