On Tuesday, November 11th, in observance of Veterans Day, the Dane County Landfill and Construction & Demolition Recycling Facility will open at 6:30am and close early at 10:30am. Clean Sweep will be closed all day.
We will be reopen on Wednesday, November 12th for the normal operating hours of 6:30 AM - 3:15 PM. Thank you.

Every odor report is taken seriously. When a report is submitted, the Dane County Waste + Renewables team conducts a review to identify the likely source. This process may include checking wind direction, speed, and temperature; reviewing active landfill operations; and sending staff offsite to assess conditions.
Sometimes this evidence suggests the landfill is not the source and we will attempt to follow up with you for more information to see if we can still assist. If the landfill is determined to be the potential source, our team will take corrective measures onsite, with the goal of resolving the issue as quickly as possible.
